Walk in directly or hotel Reservation recommended ?
10 points 4u asked:
I’m visiting shanghai in January, 07. If I walk-in straight to a hotel lobby (without bookings), will they offer more discounts than online reservation. What is recommended ? Answers prefered from frequent flyers or residents of Shanghai (China).
Thanks !

i used to work in a hotel, unless your company has negotiated a discounted rate with the hotl it will almost always cost more to walk than to not have a reservation
its better walk in straight to lobby…. u still have change to bargain room… if not public holiday ( 1 may or 1 oct) they can give u 50% discount…..
its always work
I would say in my experiance[sory only Thailand and Vietnam] its 100% better to book on line, saving sometimes up to 30%.And off course you allways know you have a bed for the night.
